Every amount is a starting price: it applies to the standard case and becomes binding after our first conversation. Each item says what is included, what costs extra, and what is explicitly not part of it.

Three columns per item

The third is the one usually missing from quotes – and the reason clients are surprised afterwards. It costs me a few jobs and spares us both every awkward conversation later on.

What sits inside the price named. No asterisks, no “up to”, no small print somewhere else.

Costs extra

What is added if you need it – with a price and a button, wherever there is an item for it. We talk about it beforehand, not when the invoice arrives.

Not included

What I do not do, or where the line runs: advertising budget, licences, image rights, guarantees. Anything you can actually book is not here but one column to the left.

A project can be split into instalments

Worked out on the example of the multi-page website at € 3,600. Available for any project from € 1,000 upwards, on request and without a credit check.

The first instalment is due immediately when the project starts, the rest in equal steps up to handover. The last instalment is due before going live – the site goes online as soon as it arrives. Bank transfer is free of charge. Paying via Stripe or PayPal adds a 5 % processing surcharge – those are the provider’s fees, not earnings of mine. The surcharge appears separately on the invoice.

About prices and billing

Because I only know the price once I know what it is about. The starting price applies to the standard case and is not bait – after the free first conversation you get a fixed price that does not change afterwards.

Net, plus 20 % Austrian VAT. For businesses in other EU countries with a valid VAT number the reverse charge procedure applies – then no VAT appears on the invoice.

For projects, half on commissioning and half when the site goes live – or in more instalments, see the next question. Care monthly in advance. Domain and web hosting once a year in advance. Individual tasks after completion. Payment term 7 days.

Yes, for any project from € 1,000 upwards. Up to three instalments cost no surcharge – you pay exactly the amount from the quote, just later. From four instalments 5 % is added, from six 8 %. There are no more than six. The first instalment is due immediately when the project starts, the rest in equal steps up to handover. The last instalment is due before going live – the site goes online as soon as it arrives. There is no credit check and no contract with a bank in between – this runs between the two of us.

Bank transfer is free of charge. Paying via Stripe or PayPal adds a 5 % processing surcharge – those are the provider’s fees, not earnings of mine. The surcharge appears separately on the invoice. With instalments that applies to each single instalment – pay six instalments by card and you pay both surcharges. By bank transfer it stays at the amount from the quote.

Ongoing services – care, SEO, GEO, campaigns – have a three-month minimum term. After that the contract extends by three months at a time, unless you cancel one month beforehand, effective at the end of a month. Domain and web hosting run for twelve months and extend by twelve months, with the same notice period. It says so here and not in the small print, because otherwise it becomes a surprise in the first conversation.

Because that is exactly what gets billed: once a year, in advance. The monthly figure is next to it for comparison, but it is never charged that way. A monthly price on the website and an annual invoice in the inbox – that is the point where everyone otherwise gets annoyed.

Only if you already have a Google or Meta advertising account of your own. If there is none, the setup is added once at € 390 – the account created in your name, billing stored, structure and conversion tracking set up. You pay the advertising budget itself directly to the platform in both cases.

That is exactly what the “Add to quote” button is for. Collect whatever interests you – the total runs along at the bottom, and you send me the selection with the contact form. That does not make it binding.

While we are building, that is expressly welcome – the two rounds of revisions included in every package are there for it. You collect your notes, I work them in during one pass. If you need a third, it costs € 190 – and I tell you beforehand that we are at that point, not afterwards on the invoice. Anything that goes beyond the agreed scope I discuss with you before I do it anyway.

That is the normal case, not the exception – your business carries on running, after all. Just get in touch and we push things back, and it costs nothing. What does cost money is waiting without a word: then the terms allow me to charge a surcharge on the order value – up to four weeks 5 %, up to eight weeks 10 %, up to twelve weeks 25 %. After twelve weeks I can end the project and bill the full order value plus 30 %. The reason is unspectacular: each time I have to read myself back in, check what has gone out of date in the meantime and get the access details working again. A short message beforehand prevents it entirely – and I would much rather have that than the surcharge.

No negotiated discounts. Time-limited offers appear at the item concerned, with a deadline. Anyone commissioning several services together saves effort on both sides – I factor that into the quote.

Then tell me what you have. A project can often be split into two steps, or there is a smaller route to the same place. What I will not do: the same work at half the price in half the quality.
